Wild bird feed has been planted around the edge in here and then the wildflower mix around the outside. This has now been redrilled with a herbal ley. This will establish over the next two years ready for the pigs to move on to.
The wildflower meadow is in its 13th year. The yellow rattle has taken over and has drastically reduced the grass growth, the first flower is of course the Oxeye Daisy, and later on Ladies Bedstraw and Wild Carrot!
