Wild bird feed has been planted around the edge in here and then the wildflower mix around the outside. It’s a good place for ground nesting birds, so we need to keep dogs on the cut path and out of the long stuff around the edge!
The wildflower meadow is in its 13th year. The yellow rattle has taken over and has drastically reduced the grass growth, the first flower is of course the Oxeye Daisy, and later on Ladies Bedstraw and Wild Carrot!
