We have grown a winter pea and barley crop in here. It’s the seventh consecutive crop from this field so it will go back into its fertility stage now it’s been harvested. The straw was chopped in here to give something back to this hard working soil!
There is wild bird feed planted around the edge which will set seed for the birds over the winter when birds need it most. There may be ground nesting birds in here so please keep dogs out of the long stuff!
