Will it ever stop raining?!

I can’t believe that less than a month ago we were leaving a hose dripping slowly in the yard so that the House Martins could collect the wet soil they need to re-make their nests this year.

Today the same area of yard has so much standing water that it came over my wellies (and no I didn’t leave the hose on!)

The pigs are happily turning their new paddocks back to mud again and all is well. We have some new piggie arrivals: Henry and Flory, a pedigree British Saddleback boar and sow who have come from Lynne’s Organic Farm to produce pigs for us at Eastleach Downs, along with eleven more young gilts to add to the herd. Exciting times!
